Using Moving Vans
There are many ways to move, ranging from the full blown removal company moves with people / porters to help you out and trucks to transport everything, to the simple pack everything in a car and move kind of move. However, either ends of the spectrum don't really match up with the needs of many movers, so there is a middle ground to be found, which is moving using moving vans.

A moving van setup typically involves renting a bag van to put all your stuff in. Depending on the arrangement with the rental company, either you do the driving or a driver will be provided.

Moving vans are usually ‘Do It Yourself' or DIY moves, owing to the fact that you almost do everything yourself. You also do all the heavy lifting, although there are times when your moving van set up will also include the help of the driver. But in general, most, if not all of the work is done by you.

The real advantage of using moving vans is the significant amount of money you can save. Since you do everything yourself, the only expenses that you need to worry about would be for the gas and for the van rental itself.
