Standard Charges from Moving Companies
Published on Friday, 15 October 2010

Standard Charges from Moving Companies Some people think that there is a standard charge for all moves done by a moving / removal company. While this is true, it is only up to a certain degree. You have to understand that moves are different - people need to transport different kinds of things and have different amounts of things to bring and have different distances between the old place and the new one and so on. The point is, ever move is unique. Thus, there cannot be a single fixed charge that you can expect a moving company to give you - a standard charge, if offered, is better to be viewed as a starting point, a base rate if you will, from which your final bill will be calculated.

So remember that when you look for a quote for your move, always ask for the final quote instead of something akin to a standard quote. Have the moving company assess the different aspects and factors that will be involved in your move so that they will be able to give a more accurate estimate for the cost of your move. Remember as well that there are a lot of possible extra charges that may be included in your final bill so look out for those as well.
