Published on Monday, 16 May 2011

Packing Made Easy Before the Big Move Allotting extra time for packing may not be your favorite job in the world. However, doing the packing yourself can make moving a lot easier and more convenient, for as long as you follow these simple suggestions:
(a)   Make sure that you have the right materials available for the packing. These include different sizes of boxes, dish packs, plastics tubs, packing tapes, scissors, bubble wraps, clean garbage bags, packing paper, and a reliable marker.
(b)  Do the packing as a per room basis to ensure that every area of the house has been covered and boxes have been tagged appropriately.
(c)   Separately pack the fragile ones from the non-breakables. It would be best to use dish packs in packing plates, glasses and other kitchenware. Fragile living rooms ornament should be covered with packing paper. For all items that are made of plastic, you can use clean garbage bags. Lastly, you can use plastic tubs in packing personal belongings such as clothes, jewelries and other accessories.
Doing these simple suggestions will not only save you money in hiring a moving company to do the packing for you but will also alleviate stress before embarking on a new life in your new home.
